A Four-star Dinner in the Luxury of Your Own Home
Chef Hugo’s passion for cooking began at an early age when catering dinners to his friends and family. It is the ceremonial of the dinner, from the menu planning, the choosing of the guests or the selection of the wines, to the cooking itself that has always motivated Chef Hugo to cook. Creating the atmosphere to make a dinner a very special event/memorable experience is something magical, a love which he shares with his wife Michelle.
Michelle’s years of experience in marketing and event planning goes back over 20 years ago working for the hotel industry in New York City. She made a brief shift in career in late 90’s working for the second largest Saudi investment firm, managing their properties. Her love and passion for food and fashion combined, were all put into practice when she joined the Italian Trade Commission. As a marketing and promotion officer, she has put together countless events in the Food and Wine industry as well as fashion galas at the Guggenheim museum, Food and Wine festivals, exhibits in Art Basel Miami, seminars at IMF in Washington and also took part in the “Made in Italy” campaign in New York City. Michelle joined forces with her Chef husband in mid 2005 and created “Private Dinners” to cater special events to high profile clientele in the music and art industry and corporate VIPs. Her attention to detail and “perfectionist” approach has blended well with Chef Hugo’s technical training at Alain Ducasse and the creative mind that runs in the Hugo family.
